This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Bus Ticket Resale application ("App"). By using our App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

We collect the following types of information:

2.1 Account Information (Linked to Your Identity):

• User ID: A unique identifier generated by Firebase Authentication
• Device ID: A unique identifier generated from your device information (Android ID or iOS Identifier for Vendor)
• Email Address: Collected only if you sign in with Google (optional)
• Display Name: Collected only if you sign in with Google (optional)
• Account Type: Whether you are using an anonymous or Google account
• Account Creation Date: Timestamp of when your account was created

2.2 Ticket Information (Linked to Your Identity):

• Source and Destination: Cities for bus routes
• Departure Date and Time: When the bus departs
• Price: Ticket price in Tunisian Dinars (TND)
• Car Number: Vehicle identification number
• Phone Number: Your contact phone number (shared with potential buyers)
• Description: Optional additional details about the ticket
• Ticket Status: Available, sold, or cancelled
• Buyer/Seller IDs: User IDs of parties involved in transactions

2.3 Device Information (Not Linked to Your Identity):

• Device Type: Android or iOS
• Operating System: OS version information
• Device Identifiers: Used to generate a unique device ID stored locally

2.4 Authentication Data:

• Google Account Information: If you choose to sign in with Google, we access your email and profile name through Google Sign-In
• Firebase Authentication Tokens: Used to maintain your session

Note: We do NOT collect:

• Location data
• Usage analytics or tracking data
• Advertising identifiers
• Photos or images (image upload functionality is not currently active)

We use the information we collect solely for the following purposes:

3.1 Service Provision:

• To create and manage your account
• To enable you to list tickets for sale
• To enable you to search and purchase tickets
• To facilitate communication between buyers and sellers (by sharing phone numbers)
• To track ticket status (available, sold, cancelled)

3.2 Authentication and Security:

• To authenticate your identity
• To prevent fraud and unauthorized access
• To maintain account security

3.3 Support and Communication:

• To respond to your support requests
• To send you important service-related notices

3.4 Legal Compliance:

• To comply with applicable laws and regulations
• To respond to legal requests

We do NOT use your information for:

• Advertising or marketing purposes
• Tracking you across other apps or websites
• Selling your data to third parties
• Analytics or usage tracking

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share your information only in the following limited circumstances:

4.1 With Other Users:

• When you list a ticket: Your phone number and ticket details are visible to potential buyers
• When you purchase a ticket: Your user ID is shared with the seller to facilitate the transaction
• This sharing is necessary for the core functionality of the App

4.2 With Service Providers:

• Firebase (Google): We use Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, and Firebase Storage. Your data is stored on Google's servers. Google processes this data according to their Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
• Google Sign-In: When you use Google Sign-In, Google processes your authentication according to their Privacy Policy
• These service providers are contractually obligated to protect your data and use it only for the purposes we specify

4.3 Legal Requirements:

• We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government regulation
• We may disclose information to protect our rights, property, or safety, or that of our users

4.4 Business Transfers:

• In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred to the new entity

We do NOT share your information with:

• Third-party advertisers
• Data brokers
• Analytics companies
• Social media platforms

5.1 Storage Location:

Your data is stored on Google Firebase servers, which may be located outside your country of residence. By using our App, you consent to this transfer.

5.2 Security Measures:

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data:

• Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS)
• Secure authentication through Firebase
• Access controls and authentication requirements
• Regular security updates

5.3 Data Security Limitations:

While we strive to protect your data, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

5.4 Local Storage:

Your device ID is stored locally on your device using secure storage mechanisms (SharedPreferences on Android, UserDefaults on iOS).

Our App uses the following third-party services:

6.1 Firebase Services (Google):

• Firebase Authentication: Handles user authentication
• Cloud Firestore: Stores your account and ticket data
• Firebase Storage: Available for future image storage (currently not in use)

6.2 Google Sign-In:

• Provides authentication services when you choose to sign in with Google

6.3 Device Info Plus:

• Used to generate a unique device identifier (stored locally only)

6.4 URL Launcher:

• Used to open email client for support requests
• Does not collect or transmit data

You have the following rights regarding your personal information:

7.1 Access and Correction:

• You can view your account information in the Profile screen
• You can update your display name and email (if using Google Sign-In) through your Google account settings

7.2 Account Deletion:

• You can delete your account and all associated data directly from the App's Profile screen
• When you delete your account, we will delete your user data, all tickets you have listed, and all reviews you have created
• Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone
• Note: Some information may be retained for legal or legitimate business purposes (e.g., completed transactions)

7.3 Data Portability:

• You can request a copy of your personal data in a machine-readable format

7.4 Opt-Out Options:

• You can use the App anonymously without providing email or name
• You can sign out of your Google account at any time
• You can stop using the App at any time

7.5 Exercising Your Rights:

We will respond to your request within 30 days.

8.1 Active Accounts:

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active and you are using our services.

8.2 Deleted Accounts:

If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except:

• Information we are required to retain by law
• Information necessary for legitimate business purposes (e.g., completed transaction records)
• Anonymized data that cannot be linked back to you

8.3 Ticket Data:

• Active ticket listings are retained until the ticket is sold, cancelled, or expired
• Historical ticket data may be retained for up to 2 years for transaction records
• After this period, ticket data is anonymized or deleted

8.4 Device ID:

• Device IDs are stored locally on your device and are not automatically deleted
• You can clear app data to remove the device ID (this will require creating a new account)

Our App is not intended for children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required by law in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at contact@abidiahmed.com. We will take steps to delete such information from our systems.

If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without parental consent, we will delete that information promptly.

We follow the principle of data minimization:

• We only collect data that is necessary for the App to function
• We do not collect data "just in case" or for unspecified future use
• You can use the App anonymously without providing email or name
• We do not track your usage patterns or behavior
• We do not use cookies or similar tracking technologies

If we need to collect additional data in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy and notify you.

11.1 We Do NOT Track You:

• We do not track you across other apps or websites
• We do not use your data to create a profile about you
• We do not share your data for advertising purposes
• We do not use advertising identifiers

11.2 Third-Party Tracking:

Our service providers (Firebase, Google) may collect certain technical information as part of their services. This is governed by their respective privacy policies. We do not use this information for tracking purposes.

11.3 App Tracking Transparency:

Our App does not request App Tracking Transparency permission because we do not track users across apps or websites.

Your information may be transferred to and maintained on servers located outside of your state, province, country, or other governmental jurisdiction where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.

Specifically:

• Firebase servers may be located in various countries
• Google services operate globally

By using our App, you consent to the transfer of your information to these facilities. We ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your data in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons.

How We Notify You:

• We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this Privacy Policy
• For material changes, we may notify you through the App or via email (if you have provided one)
• We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically

Your Continued Use:

Your continued use of the App after any changes to this Privacy Policy constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):

• Right to Delete: You can request deletion of your personal information
